Paul Muller

Paul Muller has farmed in California’s Capay Valley for the past 30 years.  As a partner in Full Belly Farm, a 400-acre diversified organic farm, he has helped to create a farm focused on regional marketing, diverse crop patterns, cover cropping, innovative market strategies and organic production.  The farm produces some 80 different crops of fruits, nuts, and vegetables, with both sheep and chickens integrated into the farm system.

Paul currently serves on the boards of Capay Valley Vision, SAGE and California Ag Vision.  He is a participant in the Farm Foundation Agricultural Dialogue Project.  Paul is a recipient of the Ecological Farming Association Susti award, Western SARE’s Patrick Madden Award, and the Pedro Illich Small Farmer of the Year award from the UCD Small Farm Center. He helped to organize and moderate the Agriculture Roundtable series in the Capay Valley to develop a regional agricultural strategic plan for both agricultural energy production and for marketing and branding regional farm products.
