Mary Robinson

Served as the seventh, and first female, president of Ireland from 1990 to 1997; the United Nations high commissioner for human rights from 1997 to 2002; and founder and president of Realizing Rights: The Ethical Globalization Initiative (2002-2010). She has spent most of her life as a human rights advocate. She now serves as president of the Mary Robinson Foundation – Climate Justice.
